Privacy Policy

We collect what we need to run the service, we don't sell it, and you can ask for it or ask us to delete it. The detail follows.

SteepleTool ("we", "us") provides a strategic reconnaissance service at steepletool.com. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy. Contact: hello@steepletool.com.

• Account details. Email address, name if you provide one, and authentication data (handled by our auth provider, Supabase). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google.
• Billing details. Plan, billing period, and payment status. Card details go to our payment processor and never touch our servers.
• Usage data. The URLs you scan, the reports generated, and product analytics (feature usage, error logs) used to run and improve the service.

• Provide the service — run scans, generate reports, maintain your account.
• Bill you for your subscription.
• Send transactional email: receipts, password resets, service notices.
• Improve the product, using aggregated or de-identified usage data.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your scan content to market to the companies you scan.

Service providers who process data on our behalf: hosting and compute (Cloudflare), database and authentication (Supabase), payments, and email delivery. Each is bound by its own data-processing terms. Some providers store data outside Australia; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure comparable protection.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Scan history is kept so you can return to past work. When you close your account, we delete personal information within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to what operating the service requires. No system is beyond compromise; if a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the OAIC as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time — email hello@steepletool.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

If this policy changes materially, we'll tell you by email or in the product before the change takes effect. The date at the top is the version you're reading.
